Like a lot of people in the trade, the story behind JGC Porsche starts early.
James Gunn-Carter, the man behind the business, didn’t just develop an interest in cars later in life; he was around them from the beginning. Growing up in Oxfordshire, he spent time at a local Porsche specialist workshop, getting stuck in wherever he could. Washing cars, helping out, learning by doing.
That kind of start matters.
It’s one thing to study automotive engineering, which James went on to do, but it’s another to already understand how workshops work, how customers think, and what actually goes into maintaining these cars properly.
By the time JGC Porsche was launched, the foundations were already there.
